Erica Brossard’s connection to Galt began long before her campaign for school board. She attended Valley Oaks Elementary School and graduated from Galt High School in 2001.
After earning her teaching credential from Humboldt State University in 2007 and beginning her career in education, Erica and her husband chose to make Galt their home in 2016 to raise their family.
Today, their children attend River Oaks Elementary School, giving Erica a personal connection to the same schools and community she hopes to serve as a member of the Galt Joint Union Elementary School District Board of Trustees.

For the past 19 years, Erica has dedicated her career to teaching and supporting students. Her experience includes serving as a special education teacher and working with children from preschool through middle school.
That experience has given Erica firsthand insight into the needs of students, educators, and families. She understands that strong schools require high expectations for students, support for teachers and staff, and an unwavering focus on helping every child succeed.

Erica approaches school leadership from two important perspectives: as an educator who has spent nearly two decades working with students and as a parent whose own children attend GJUESD schools.
She knows that decisions made by the school board affect real classrooms, real educators, and real families. Erica believes parents deserve to be heard, teachers and staff deserve support, and students deserve schools where they can learn, grow, and succeed.

"I am running for the Galt Joint Union Elementary School District Board because I care deeply about the future of our schools and the students they serve.
I believe our district should remain focused on the fundamentals: strong reading and math skills, high academic expectations, safe and supportive schools, and ensuring teachers and staff have what they need to help students succeed.
I will approach decisions thoughtfully, be responsible with taxpayer dollars, listen to parents and our community, and always keep students at the center of my service.
I would be honored to earn your trust, your vote, and the opportunity to serve the families of GJUESD Area 5."
